I illustrated Anna Karenina for Great Stat Media Co. Ltd. in Shanghai, China. The project was interesting from a sociological perspective, focusing on the study of human interaction not only in the 19th century but also in today's society. I used visual language to convey Anna's hopelessness and the societal mechanisms that crushed her. In contrast to this theme, I depicted the serenity of the summer landscapes in the countryside, where the second protagonist of the novel, Levin, spent most of his time.
